About the studio
Clae Works is a ceramic studio offering memberships and ceramics education in the Northern Beaches.
Clae Works is built on the belief that ceramics should be accessible, inclusive, and inspiring. Our goal is to provide artists and makers with access to equipment, education, and a supportive community where they can learn, grow, and create. We are here to foster collaboration and expand opportunities for ceramic arts in the Northern Beaches, creating a welcoming space for anyone who wants to work with clay. Whether you’re just starting out or an experienced maker, Clae Works offers a place where everyone is valued, and creativity can thrive.
About me
I’ve always been drawn to the earth—first as a geologist and now as a potter. Working with clay feels like an extension of that connection, bringing the land into my work through wild materials and natural processes.
I started Clae Works as a space for making, learning, and sharing—without the barriers that can make ceramics feel out of reach. With a diploma in ceramics and years of experience (including a high school sculpture that won first prize and was promptly stolen), I’m still just as excited by the process as I was when I first touched clay.
