Kids & Teens Clay Camp — 6hrs 9am-3pm (Ages 9–15)
A focused, hands-on clay workshop designed for young makers who want time, space, and guidance to bring their ideas to life.
Students can create a sculpture or any self-directed project. They’re welcome to arrive with an idea, images, or inspiration, or they can sketch and plan their piece at the start of the session with support from our teachers.
We’ll explore handbuilding techniques — slab, coil, sculpting, joining — and after a relaxed lunch break outside, students will refine their forms and add colour and detail using underglazes.
All materials are provided, and each student will finish with a considered, personalised piece that will be fired in the studio kiln.
All materials are included: clay, tools, underglazes, and firing of one main piece. Extra pieces are $15 per piece.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Ages 9-15.
A minimum of 4 is required for the workshop to go ahead. Finished pieces will be fired and ready for pickup a few weeks after the session.
