Take your ceramics to the next level! Over six weeks, you’ll explore texture, mark-making, and layered colour, experimenting on your own leather-hard or bisque pieces—or on simple slab plates and tiles provided in class. Underglazes, slips, and all materials are included.
Over the course of 6 weeks we will be exploring:
Pattern making
Slip making, application, and sgraffito
Mishima (carving and inlay)
Brushwork, watercolour, and layered underglaze colour
Wax resist and playful negative space
In-glazing, oxide washes and glaze on glaze
Tip: Collect patterns, textures, or colours that inspire you. Take photos, sketch, or bring ideas—this class is all about experimenting and enjoying the process!
Suitable for beginners. Children under 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
